Speaking of Distance...
Wed Sep 18 16:46:34
Is there anyway to program this to account for where a class is held. Then the program can also try to minimize distances walking in between classes. just a thought

very cool program, but...
Mon Sep 16 01:20:45
It would be perfect if it allows user to optain the output of the scheduler in some editable format other than the print screen version.

Indeed... Thanks, we'll work on it!

Time Restrictions
Sat Sep 14 22:53:07
I know you can just delete the entries that are at times you don't like, but it would be cool if there was a field to restrict time for possible classes to say 10 am to 4 pm to rule out really early and late classes.
REPLY:
You can put in a 'fake class':
NOClass
7-10a mtuwthf, 4-10p mtuwthf
FinalDistance will think there's a class here, so it won't schedule classes in these areas. (You could even name the class "_" so it doesn't mess up the chart with many words)

How do you make it work with XP? Java Virtual Machine is unavailable when you tell it to download.
EDIT:
NM...dl it from http://java.sun.com/getjava/download.html

What is this
Sat Sep 14 22:11:43
Error: a/p sign after FROM_TIME??
I keep getting that message after I press "close the distance".
REPLY:
This means that the time isn't entered right; you probably entered an am/pm sign after FROM_TIME. ie.,
wrong:
8a-9a mwf
right:
8-9a mwf
UPDATE:
Set clearer error messages

Printing and copying
Fri Sep 13 11:40:06
what is the best way to print out schedules from this hip little program? Can the image or text be copied to be altered in Word or Excel or an image editor?
Thanks
REPLY:
press ALT+PRINTSCREEN to copy the image of the screen to clipboard. Then open up your favorite image-editor and PASTE.
UPDATE:
Implemented! Use the "printable" button.

Lab/Dis
Thu Sep 12 16:49:26
If lab and discussion from the same section aren't together then the schedule is basically not worth anything... I have that problem for both CS and Physics, other than that this is a great idea, good job.
REPLY:
You can use commas to connect times together. (ie., copy/paste the lab times next to the dis times, and perhaps rename the class "dis/lab").
UPDATE:
Added a checkbox for it. =)

needs to tie disc/lab together. some classes (such as cs) must take corresponding disc/lab sections
REPLY:
See above reply. Perhaps in a future update, this will be done automatically.
